Warning: Potential Hotel Reservation Scam
We would like to make you aware of a situation that has been brought to our attention. There are companies who have been contacting our speakers and exhibitors to “assist” with hotel reservations. They sometimes disguise themselves as the National Town Meeting Housing Bureau or claim to represent one of our conference hotels. They may claim they can get better rates, that rooms are limited, that the deadline is approaching, or use other sales pitch methods. They are NOT the official housing bureau and are NOT affiliated with SEPA or the National Town Meeting in any way.
If you receive a call from this or any company claiming to represent the Town Meeting, be aware that this may be a scam and DO NOT MAKE THE RESERVATION. These companies are NOT affiliated with SEPA or the Town Meeting in any capacity. If you are contacted by any such company, please ask for the company name, phone number, address, and contact who called (email if possible) and to send it to email@example.com.
Please make your reservations directly with the the Sofitel or Lowes Madison Hotels. You can find reservation information above. To receive the Town Meeting negotiated rate, be sure to mention you are with the National Town Meeting.
The closest airport to the National Town Meeting is Reagan National (DCA). Dulles International (IAD) and Baltimore Washington International (BWI) are each about 45 minutes from downtown Washington, DC.
Amtrak train service also arrives in downtown DC at Union Station.
